This page provides information on how to request the deletion of your account and associated data for BrainFit. We are committed to protecting your privacy and providing you with control over your personal data.

To request the deletion of your account and associated data, please follow these steps:

  1. Submit a deletion request:

    • Send an email to our support team at support@brainfitfirst.com

    • In your email, please include the following information to help us process your request efficiently:

      • Subject Line: Account Deletion Request - [Your Username or Email associated with the account]

      • Your Registered Email Address: The email address you used to create or register your BrainFit account.

      • Your User ID (if known): If you know your unique user ID within the app, please include it.

      • Brief reason for deletion: Providing a reason helps us understand user needs but is not required.

    • Upon receiving your email, our support team will verify your identity by sending a verification email to your registered address and then proceed with your account deletion request. Please allow up to 10 business days for your request to be fully processed.



What data is deleted?

Upon successful account deletion, the following data associated with your BrainFit account will be permanently deleted from our active databases:

  • Your Profile Information: This includes your name, email address, profile picture, and any other details you provided during registration or in your profile.

  • User-Generated Content: All content you have created, uploaded, or shared within the app.

  • App Usage Data: Your historical activity within the app, including preferences, settings, and interactions.

  • Linked Third-Party Accounts: If you linked your account with any third-party services, these links will be severed.

  • Payment Information: Any stored payment method details directly linked to your account will be removed.



What data is kept and for how long?

Please note that certain data may be retained for a limited period or indefinitely in specific circumstances, primarily for legal, security, and essential business operations, in accordance with UK data protection laws and regulations. This may include:

  • Transactional Records: Data related to purchases or financial transactions (e.g., invoices, receipts, transaction IDs, amounts) will generally be retained for a minimum of 6 years plus the current financial year from the end of the last company financial year they relate to. This is to comply with HMRC (HM Revenue & Customs) requirements for tax and accounting purposes, and also for anti-fraud measures. This data typically includes essential transaction details but not full payment card information which is not stored directly by us.

  • Legal and Regulatory Obligations: We may retain certain data as required by applicable UK laws, regulations, or valid legal processes (e.g., court orders, subpoenas, or to respond to legitimate requests from law enforcement agencies). The retention period for such data will be the duration mandated by the specific legal or regulatory requirement.

  • Security and Fraud Prevention: Limited data, such as IP addresses, device identifiers, or specific activity logs, may be retained for a period of up to 6 years if you are considered to pose a fraud or money laundering risk, or if we have a legitimate interest in retaining it to prevent fraud, protect our business, and comply with relevant laws. For general security monitoring and detection of technical issues, data may be retained for a shorter, proportionate period, typically up to 90 days, unless a specific incident requires longer retention for investigation. This is to help protect our systems and other users from malicious activity.

  • Anonymised or Aggregated Data: We may retain data that has been fully anonymised or aggregated in a way that it cannot be linked back to your individual identity. This type of data is used for statistical analysis, research, and improving our services, and does not contain any personal information.



Important Considerations:


  • Account deletion is generally irreversible. Once your account and data are deleted, they cannot be recovered.

  • Data stored on your local device (e.g., downloaded content, cached data) may not be automatically removed by the account deletion process. You may need to manually clear app data or uninstall the app from your device.
